Mechanicon Recap: A Home Game for Kamo

For us, this wasn't just another expo, it was a home game.

Being based right here in Frankfurt, we couldn't miss the chance to support Europe's biggest mechanical keyboard meetup right in our backyard. We decided to jump in as official sponsors because we love this stuff. The keyboard hobby is built by smart, passionate people, and Mechanicon is where that energy comes together.

The Vibe

If you haven't been to Mechanicon, imagine a room filled with the sound of hundreds of enthusiasts clacking away. The atmosphere was incredible. We had a short runway to prepare, but seeing the community come out in such numbers made every second of prep worth it.

We believe that building keyboards doesn't happen in a vacuum. It is about the people who maintain the firmware, write the docs, and organize events like this. Supporting the organizers was our way of saying thank you to the folks who keep the community flying.

The Kamo Booth

We set up shop to show that ergonomic gear doesn't have to be intimidating. We met plenty of folks who were curious about split boards but scared off by the "build list" barrier. It was great to show them that you can actually just plug in and type without needing a soldering iron.

The highlight was definitely the Type Racer challenge. Watching people sit down at a split board, often for the first time, and realizing they could let their shoulders relax and their hands settle in was awesome to see.

Until Next Time

A massive shout-out to the Mechanicon team for hosting a flawless event, and to everyone who stopped by to chat, test a Kamo Corne, or set a high score.

Whether you are a builder, a power user, or just someone who wants their hands to stop complaining at 4 pm, it was a pleasure hanging out. Hold your feathers, and we will see you at the next one!
